Take a test drive with Noodletools Seventh and Eighth grade assignment: (Students have one week to complete) this rubric must be handed in at the beginning of their next class when their “noodlepractice” assignment is due.
First students must come up with a question which they will need to state on their “dashboard” in their project “noodlepractice”
Using Noodletools students will create two citations
One using a Grolier online reference 10 pts Popular Science, Grolier, Lands and People, or Encyclopedia Americana
Another using a reference book 10 pts
Two Note cards 30 pts
Must be tied into citations (one for each reference source or citation) Must be “tagged” to document how each one will be organized Each note card has a space for direct quote which can be cut and pasted from Grolier online and the second may be directly copied from a reference book Directly underneath the direct quote section is the Paraphrasing card. Students must “restate” the direct quote in their own words – (not summarize, which is to shorten the direct quote)
